Journal Entry 092512-A: Dave's Seafood!

Friend's,

I stopped by to visit with Dave last Saturday while in Bel Fontaine. Dave is a fine man as was his father that I new from the time I could at the very least walk.

Dave's father "Mr. Sheffield" that owned "Dog River" Seafood for so many years at the North End of the "Old DogRiver" draw bridge!

I can remember his Shrimp Boat and the crab boats tied up at the dock in the canal behind the building that was destroyed by hurricane Frederic in 1979!

Dave Sheffield's picture hung on the wall behind the checkout counter and Mr. Sheffield proudly talked of his Son's Service in the Army in Vietnam.

This conversation went on as my dad and I waited for Mr. Sheffield to weigh up our Shrimp or gather a couple dozen crabs as my mother most times waited in the car or truck!
